Electrical Systems in Office Furniture and Screens - BS6396 The British Standards Institutions guidelines for the safe installation and testing of electrical systems in office furniture and screens. As part of Health and Safety legislation, employers have an obligation to ensure that the guidelines set out by BS6396 are followed. The aim of the standard is to improve safety in the office environment, but it only relates to items connected by a plug to a 13 amp wall or floor socket. Cabling
Installation and Testing
